What: WiseGRID 2nd Review Meeting

From 18th to 20th of June, WiseGRID partners gathered together in Athens for a project review. This 3-days extensive meeting was hosted by the Mesogia pilot site partners. Both technical as non-technical partners showed the results achieved so far.
Furthermore, the Pilot sites leaders presented the latest updates on the pilot sites. For each pilot site, an overview was given of the applications that have been deployed and tested. The next couple of months more testing results and insights will be collected.
As part of the program, the consortium together with the Project Officer, visited the Mesogia pilot site to get a better sense of the real-life conditions of this pilot site.

An EU-funded project has developed nine innovative products to help integrate homes and businesses into a smart European electricity grid. The aim is to make green energy smarter, easier and cheaper to use at home and work - good for the pocket, the planet and Europe's energy security.
The EU Horizon 2020 project WiseGRID is preparing to start demonstration projects at five pilot sites in Belgium, Italy, Spain and Greece. The project aims to empower citizens with a combination of smart technologies that will also allow distributed renewable energy sources (RES) to be efficiently managed in the grid. Starting this summer, it will demonstrate virtual power plants, vehicle-to-grid, storage systems and decentralized control automation of the distribution network.
