Workshop to explain and demonstrate the WiseGRID tools

Dear citizen,

We are facing a rapidly changing energy system. Examples such as the increasing integration of renewables and the shift towards a more rational and efficient way of energy use, can easily be found everywhere through Europe. Therefore, the European project WiseGRID aims to provide a set of solutions and technologies to increase the smartness, stability and security of an open, consumer-centric European energy grid. These solutions will be demonstrated and evaluated under real life conditions in 4 demonstration sites. Your neighbourhood is one of these pilot sites.

Soon, the WiseGRID project will take off in your neighbourhood!

We are delighted to invite you to participate in a workshop to gain more information and insights in the WiseGRID-tools that will be developed in your living area. This interactive workshop will give a floor to discussions, questions and any feedback.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge.

WHY join the workshop?

Your pilot city is participating in the WiseGRiD project as a testing site which will not only bring benefits to the local community energy savings but also:

• increase overall efficiency through a holistic approach of the electricity, heat and gas sectors at consumer level;
• contribute to a 50 per cent renewables share by 2030 and a 20 per cent reduction of CO2 emissions;
• reinforce the position of the European renewables, storage and EV industry at a global level;
• contribute to the creation of 1,800 direct and 90,000 indirect jobs.

WHAT will be done during the workshop? 

In this workshop you will be able:

• to hear a throughout explanation and description of the tools which will be deployed in your living area;
• to have an individual discussion with the project managers who will deploy the tools;
• to join an open discussion forum.

General introduction to the WiseGRID project and the tools that will be deployed in Crevillent. The main functionalities and the benefits of each tool will be discussed. The tools will be demonstrated via a web platform, using real time data. The demonstrations will make it possible to give you a notice of how the tools will look like.

Interactive networking drink
REScoop.eu, Enercoop, ETRA I+D, ITE & participants ǀ 45 min
Participants are invited for a drink and will be able to speak to the different experts that will be present to ask questions or more information about one or more tools.
